My new favorite. We bought this pretty little flower at the co-op the other day and I was amazed by the process it goes through. In the beginning, it was basically glued shut by a sticky residue it produces, which apparently the ants love, and each day it opened up more and more. By the fourth day, it was fully opened and beautiful, and by the fifth, the pollen had dropped onto it's pedals, which then floated softly to the floor. I was entranced by the way the pedals acted almost as a little cup, safely delivering pollen to a new area, blown delicately by the wind.
